Our genuine Goatskin Rugs originate from a hardy breed of long haired goat in China & Mongolia. The long silky hair protects the Goats from the extreme weather conditions. Just to make sure the goats are protected from the elements; nature has provided them a soft under wool that keeps the goat nice and snug. This under wool is also spun and woven into the world famous 'Cashmere' wool used in making fine woolen garments. The hair is used for textiles & carpets, and other by-products form the stable diet in rural communities where these goats are farmed. It is chemically processed and occasionally slight shedding may occur - this is harmless and will not deteriorate or affect the goatskin rug. Goatskin rugs are very popular and sold worldwide.
